Hi! I’m Wong Sheng Wei.
I am born and bred in Kuala Lumpur.
During my university days, I was heavily involved in mooting competitions. Some notable achievements include getting first runner-up in the Asia Cup International Moot Court Competition in Japan in the year 2018 and bagging the best memorial award in the Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition in year 2018.
While I was still in university, in year 2019, I joined Tan Swee Im, Siva & Partners as an Intern. I got an exposure about how legal practice would be during the internship. Since the firm is a construction firm, I was exposed mainly to construction litigation disputes.
Later, in January to February 2020, I joined as an intern at Raja Eleena, Siew & Ang to gain more exposure about legal practice so that I have a little more wisdom to decide what I want to do after I graduate. In this firm, I was exposed to general litigation and conveyancing files.
I graduated from University of Malaya with a law degree in July 2020. Right after my final exams, I started chambering with Kheng Hoe Advocates.
Throughout my chambering, I was exposed to mainly construction litigation disputes, CIPAA adjudication files and arbitration disputes.
I subsequently became a legal associate with Chong + Kheng Hoe, and I am currently focused on handling construction disputes. Throughout my career, I was given the opportunity to handle complex construction disputes which involved voluminous documents where there is one case where the claim amount goes up to RM80 million. While handling such complex cases, I managed to learn how to deal with various issues which pops up in construction fights.
